The Asian Culture Complex is a very first futuristic cultural multiplex that will open in 2014. The complex which is under construction in Gwangju will collect, store, produce, develop, research, educate, perform, possess, and exhibit Asian culture. The land area of the Asian Culture Complex is approximately 128,620m².

The Asian Culture Complex is building five Asian Arts Communities; traditional music for ASEAN region, myth and tales for Central Asian region, motion pictures for Arabian region, traditional dance for South Asian region, traditional theater for Northeast Asian region. Through the cultural exchanges of Asian Arts Communities, the Asian Culture Complex will build networks that cover entire Asia. The complex will link Asia’s cultural diversity in harmony.

The Asian Culture Complex is an open space for all people. The Complex will be an open community that everyone can cultivate Asian culture based on sprit of democracy, human rights, and peace. The Asian Culture Complex will be a place for creativity to artists, a space for cultural experience to citizen, and a room for Asian cultural exchange to visitors from the world. The Asian Culture Complex will bloom cultural imagination of Asia throughout the world.
